We are located in rural Northamptonshire and have strong agricultural roots, so we empathise fully with the plight of fellow farmers, whose land was blighted with the floods last winter. Teaming up with other local farmers, we raised more than £3,000 in donations from the farming community, and collected a further £2,000 in fodder used to feed the animals. Block Aid was also happy to pay for transportation to take the fodder bales to a Somerset collection point, where it will be distributed to farmers in need. The flooding leaves lasting effects, and whilst the Somerset farmers may no longer be under water, they still need help to recover their land. Our best wishes remain with them all.
