Block Aid - Security Gates
The gate works in conjunction with our blocks to make a secure perimeter around your vacant land or building, below an example of our gate being used to protect land during development.
Benefits of the gate are:
- Your site is secure 24 /7.
- A security lock can be fitted with limited and designated keys.
- Builders and ground maintenance staff can access the premises through the gate to keep building and land tidy.
- The open gate gives you a gap of 3 meters which is wide enough for any normal size lorry to pass through, again for any maintenance or building work to be carried out but still keeping the place secure out of hours.
- Keys can be issued to local emergency services for 24 / 7 access.
- Gate is installed and remove by the Block Aid team in a matter of hours.
- The block which the gate hangs from and the shutting block each weigh 3.200kg, so moving them without the specialized equipment is not possible.
- The combine weight of the gate and blocks is 6.900kg.
- Hinges are bolted to blocks and bolts welded to prevent anyone trying to undo hinges with a spanner.
The concrete block witch the gate is hang from is 1350 x 1000 x 1000 in size and a weight of 3.200kg. When open the gap between blocks is 3m, allowing a lorry to pass through the gate with out any problems. The image below showing the gate size relative to a lorry.

The hinges for the security gate are pinned and a captivated nut is used to prevent the gate from being lifted off its hinges. |

Security clasp which has been designed to encase the padlock, thus making it very difficult for anyone other than the keyholder to remove the lock. |
