Concrete Barry installation London

Securing a London Industrial Unit with our MKII Concrete Barriers

Early October brought us a familiar call from one of our longstanding customers. They needed robust security for a newly completed industrial unit in London while it awaited its first tenant. Empty properties are vulnerable. And corners? They’re often the weakest point on any site. That’s why we designed our approach around real-world security challenges. The Solution We supplied 14 of our MKII barriers for this project. But we didn’t stop there. We fitted specialist corner brackets at the vulnerable points around the perimeter. These brackets connect securely to our MKII barriers using our unique bolting system, and we bolted all the blocks together for added strength. This creates a solid, connected barrier that’s far harder to compromise than individual blocks. Controlled Access The site still needed tradesmen to come and go to finish the final touches. You can’t lock everyone out when work needs finishing. We installed our large swinging gate to solve this. It opens up to five meters wide, giving plenty of access for vehicles and materials. And it comes with dual padlock protection to keep the site secure when it’s closed. Why This Matters Empty industrial units are targets. Materials get stolen. Squatters move in. Vandalism happens. Our job is to prevent all of that while the property waits for its new occupant. This customer has worked with us for years because they know we understand these challenges. We don’t just drop off barriers and leave. We design the layout based on the site’s specific vulnerabilities and make sure everything’s properly connected and secure. If you’ve got a property that needs protecting between tenants, or you’re managing construction sites around London, we can help. Concrete Barrier Installation

Large-Scale Concrete Barrier & Gate Installation // Hampshire

Project Overview: Complete perimeter security for a vacant commercial property featuring concrete barriers and a controlled-access security gate. The Challenge We were recently contacted by a client who needed comprehensive security for a vacant commercial site in Hook. The property required complete perimeter protection to prevent unauthorised access, while maintaining a secure, controlled entry point for legitimate visitors and maintenance personnel. Block Aid delivered a multi-layered security approach, combining robust physical barriers with innovative connection systems: Concrete Barrier Installation We supplied and installed 28 MKII concrete barriers to create an impenetrable perimeter around the premises. To maximise security effectiveness, all barriers were secured using our proprietary high-security bolts, providing superior tamper resistance compared to standard fixings. Enhanced Corner Protection Recognising that corners often represent the weakest points in barrier configurations, we implemented our custom corner bracket system. These specialised brackets are engineered to prevent movement and tampering at these critical junction points, ensuring the integrity of the entire perimeter. Kerb Jumper Innovation This project also featured our cutting-edge Kerb Jumper system—a Block Aid innovation that enables seamless connection between barriers positioned on kerbs and those placed along roadsides. This technology maintains a continuous, unbroken line of protection regardless of terrain variations. Controlled Access Gate To provide the client with a secure, manageable entry, we installed a heavy-duty swing gate. As standard with all Block Aid installations, the gate comes equipped with either combination or key-coded padlocks, configured to meet specific client requirements and security protocols. The Result The completed installation provides comprehensive 24/7 security for this vacant commercial property, giving the client peace of mind while maintaining practical access when needed. The combination of proven concrete barrier technology with our latest innovations demonstrates Block Aid’s commitment to evolving security solutions. Interested in securing your commercial property? Block Aid at Silverstone UK

Event Safety and Security // Silverstone Circuit

When the call came in for a 290m stretch of concrete barriers to secure an event drifting area, our team knew they would enjoy the challenge! It meant deploying 116 of our MKI Concrete Barriers, each measuring 2500x500x750mm, all to be delivered and installed within a tight two-day window. With our trademark precision, the team manoeuvred our Moffett (a trailer-mounted forklift) to carefully position the barriers around the designated areas. Each block was installed and lined up perfectly, a feat made easier by our innovative linking system. In just two days, a highly effective concrete barrier was in place and standing guard around the drifting arena, ensuring the safety and excitement of all participants. Customer’s Words: ‘Incredibly helpful! Great with our last-minute requests and advice on what equipment I needed. The delivery guys were also great! Marquee Ballast Weights project in Peterborough

Marquee Ballast // Peterborough

Project: Supply 100kg of concrete ballast to secure a marquee. It’s not always possible to stake down a marquee, so our dedicated Marquee Weights are the best option. In this case, the marquee was at a festival in Peterborough, and for this specific structure, we supplied 48 x 100kg weights with white covers and straps. Our ballast blocks are available from 50kg to 3000kg, and we can supply and deliver accordingly to the size of the structure. For a neat and tidy finish, we provide black or white covers to help the blocks match the marquees. Check out our ranges here: Marquee Weights

Concrete Blocks in Camberley

Commercial Property Protection // Camberley

Supply and deliver 5000kg RDB XL concrete barriers to protect a commercial property. This project required fifteen concrete barriers to protect warehouse shutters and access gates at a brand new commercial property in Camberley.  Our exclusive XL concrete barriers are a serious unit! Each weighs 5000kg, is 4 metres long and has no visible forklift pockets. This makes them a highly effective deterrent against unauthorised access, plus their extra size means they are well-suited for protecting large gateways, shutter doors and access roads. The XL barriers are positioned using a crane lorry because they are simply impossible to lift using an Artic and Moffett, which meant this particular project needed five crane-lorry loads!  Of course, we are very used to moving our blocks, and we worked alongside the property manager to ensure the barriers were positioned safely and efficiently.  Check out our ranges here: Concrete Barrier Hire
